Biography:
Ariel is a fictional character created by Disney, most famously known as the protagonist of the 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid. She is a member of the Disney Princesses franchise.

Born under the sea, Ariel is the youngest of King Triton's seven daughters. Dissatisfied with her underwater life, she is fascinated by the human world, collecting human artifacts in her grotto.

Ariel's defining trait is her adventurous and rebellious spirit. She longs to experience life on land and makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula, trading her voice for human legs. She does this in hopes of winning the love of Prince Eric.

The movie, The Little Mermaid, focuses on Ariel's journey as she navigates the challenges of becoming human, learning about love, and ultimately confronting Ursula to restore peace to both the underwater and human worlds.
